At ClipSnap, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how our clipboard management application ("ClipSnap," "we," "our," or "us") handles your information. We've designed ClipSnap with privacy as a fundamental principle, and we're committed to being transparent about our practices.
We do not collect, transmit, share, or store any of your data on our servers. ClipSnap is designed to work entirely locally on your device.
ClipSnap stores your clipboard history solely on your device using a local SQLite database. This data includes:
This data is stored locally to provide the functionality of the app and is never transmitted to us or any third parties. The data stored on your device is subject to your device's built-in security features, such as encryption when your device is locked with a passcode.
To help manage your clipboard data, ClipSnap offers the option to automatically delete older clipboard items after a specified period (1 day, 7 days, or 30 days). Items marked as favorites are exempt from this auto-deletion and will remain until you manually remove them.
ClipSnap does not include any analytics services, tracking mechanisms, or user monitoring features. We have intentionally chosen not to implement these technologies because we believe your clipboard data and app usage should remain private. As a result:
This means we have no visibility into how our app is being used once it's installed on your device, which is a trade-off we've made in favor of your privacy.
ClipSnap does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs that would collect or process your data. The app is entirely self-contained and does not communicate with external servers or services.
ClipSnap is completely ad-free. We do not display advertisements in the app, nor do we integrate any ad networks or ad-related tracking technologies.
ClipSnap requires clipboard access to function properly. This permission is used exclusively to detect and store clipboard changes locally on your device and is essential for the app's core functionality.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data. You can delete individual clipboard items within the app or clear all data through the settings page. You can also uninstall the app at any time, which will remove all associated data from your device.
ClipSnap does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any user data at all, this is not a concern, but we note this for compliance with children's privacy regulations.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
